Dunrobin Castle - Falconry
Golspie, Sutherland KW10 6SF, Scotland A visit to Dunrobin Castle now includes daily Birds of Prey Flying Demonstrations at regular intervals. These are currently held at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm, please telephone to confirm times. The falconer is available all day for photographs. Cedar pictured here is a European Eagle Owl, one of the various species of Owls, Hawks and Falcons on display in the Gardens. Andy Hughes, a professional Falconer demonstrates and explains the different hunting methods used by owls, hawks and falcons in a series of fascinating aerobatic displays. Visitors are encouraged to hold, fly and feed these wonderful birds of prey and every show creates superb photographic opportunities. If you can visit Dunrobin Castle between mid October and March, you will be invited to join Andy and his team of Harris Hawks on a daily hunting expedition on Dunrobin Estate. You will receive hands-on experience while hunting ground quarry, usually rabbits - all under Andy's personal supervision. Falconry Display Times: please telephone to confirm times
